The Crafter's opinion :

I use Gesso on all my Décopatch papier mâché surfaces that are too dark to be used as they are.

It is very useful and cost-saving!

Décopatch Gesso is a white primer that is mainly used on porous, absorbing or dark-coloured surfaces. You can use it on several surfaces, such as wood, papier mâché or cardboard but also on frames, pieces of pottery and fabrics!

It is used as a matte primer. Porous surfaces are made even and impregnated. Simply apply thin layers to your surface. You can now to start to work on a clean and smooth surface. The colours of your décopatch paper or of your napkins will stand out more on a white surface instead of dark-coloured papier mâche or wood!

You can then clean your paint brush with water.

Non-toxic - pH neutral - water-based

Safe for children
